What to Expect on your Mussoorie Sightseeing Tour

In the heart of Mussoorie lies the iconic 2-kilometre-long Mall Road, a pedestrian-only area that connects two of the hill station’s most popular spots: Library Bazaar to the west and Kulri Bazaar to the east. Kempty Falls

Located on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road in the Ram Gaon area of Tehri Garhwal, Kempty Falls is a major tourist attraction and popular picnic spot in Mussoorie. Situated at an altitude of 4,500 feet, this scenic waterfall is one of the region’s most notable landmarks. Kempty Falls features two main cascades: the lower fall, which draws large crowds, and the upper fall, known for its serene atmosphere. For a full day of enjoyment, knowing the timings, location, and activities available at Kempty Falls can help you plan your visit effectively.

George Everest's House

George Everest Peak is named after Sir George Everest, the Surveyor-General of India from 1830 to 1843, who played a crucial role in India’s Great Trigonometrical Survey. He appointed Andrew Waugh and Radhanath Sikdar, who made the first observation and calculated the height of Mount Everest.

The trek to George Everest Peak is relatively easy and suitable for both fit beginners and experienced trekkers, though the final stretch can be challenging. Proper preparation is recommended before embarking on the trek.

Gun Hill

Gun Hill, the second highest peak in Mussoorie, offers stunning views of the Himalayan range and Doon Valley. Located 400 feet above The Mall, it is a popular vantage point accessible by cable car. While the panoramic views are breathtaking, it’s advisable to avoid looking down from the edges as the loose soil can be unstable.

Company Garden

Company Garden, the highest peak in Mussoorie, sits at 1,830 meters above sea level in the Landour area. This lush green garden is a major tourist attraction, featuring an artificial lake with a small waterfall and an amusement park with adventurous rides for children. Visitors can enjoy boating on the lake, shop for local crafts at the small market, and use a telescope to view the surrounding peaks.
